Female MPs Lodge Complaint Against Daily

TEHRAN Majlis Deputy from Hamedan Marziyeh Hadidchi Dabbagh said here yesterday that some female Majlis representatives have lodged a complaint against Zan Persian daily. The daily recently published a caricature which ridiculed an Islamic law, blood money, and provoked the Revolutionary Court to order the temporary closure of the daily. Publication of such caricatures provoked me and some of the female deputies to complain against the daily, she said.

Speaking to reporters, she added that since a Qoranic principle has been put into question by the daily, we believe that hidden hands are behind such issue trying to desecrate Islam and the Qoran.
