Iranian lifter Mohammadpour wins bronze at worlds

Iran’s Saeid Mohammadpour won a bronze medal on Saturday in the men's 94kg category at the World Weightlifting Championships in Paris, France.
Mohammadpour lifted 181 kilograms in the snatch and 221 kilograms in the clean and jerk and claimed the bronze medal with a total of 402 kilograms.
Ilya Ilyin from Kazakhstan claimed the gold after lifting 181 kilograms in the snatch and 226 kilograms in the clean and jerk to record a total of 407 kilograms.
Artem Ivanov from Ukraine won the silver by hoisting 186 kilograms in the snatch and 221 kilograms in the clean and jerk for a total of 407 kilograms.
The competition ends on Sunday.
The event will also determine who will be eligible to compete in the Olympic Games.
