Iran foiled terrorist attack planned on Qods Day, 4 arrested

TEHRAN – A local police official announced on Saturday security forces had foiled a terrorist attack reportedly planned for the International Qods Day in Sistan-Balouchestan Province.
Colonel Masoud Heidari, the chief of the security police in Sistan-Balouchestan Province, said the security forces had arrested four members of the Jundullah terrorist group, who planned to carry out the terrorist attack.
On August 21, police arrested three members of the group, who were going to Kerman Province carrying some explosives, weapons, and ammunitions, Heidari said.
During the investigations, the arrested said they hid some explosive materials, weapons, ammunition in a place in Khash town in Sistan-Balouchestan Province, he added.
On August 25, the police arrested another member of the group, and seized 6 pistols, some TNT and other explosive materials, he explained.
