Boroujerdi sets off for Qatar and Egypt

altTEHRAN – Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee set off for Qatar and Egypt, ISNA reported on Saturday.  

During his trip, Alaeddin Boroujerdi is scheduled to pay a visit to Doha to submit the written message of Majlis speaker Ali Larijani to his Qatari counterpart.  

In the message Larijani has invited the chairman of Consultative Assembly of Qatar Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Kholaifi to attend the 5th international conference in support of Palestinian Intifada which is scheduled to be held in Tehran in early October. 

Boroujerdi is also scheduled to leave Doha for Cairo after his meetings with high-ranking Qatari officials. 

During the trip, he will also meet with Nabil al-Arabi, the secretary general of the Arab League.

Iranian Ambassador to Doha Abdollah Sohrabi in an interview with ISNA on Saturday said that Tehran and Doha enjoy good relations and have always held consultations with each other on various issues including Islamic and Arab world.
