TEHRAN – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that the people’s participation at the Bahman 22nd (February 11) rallies will “disappoint the ill-wishers”.
During a meeting with Air Force commanders and officials on Monday, he praised people’s participation at the Bahman 22nd rallies since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, described it as “unique” in the world. The “ill-wishers” of the Islamic system make efforts to prevent Iran from “moving towards its goals” and to “restore the foreigners’ dominance” on the country, he noted.
“The main objective of the enemy’s front is to make the sublime goals forgotten and change the Islamic Republic system internally,” the Leader remarked.
“Be careful about what lies behind enemy smiles,” the Leader said.
He said a “change in the revolutionary identity and nature of the Islamic Republic system” is the “main objective of the enemy”.
He called for keeping alive the revolutionary ideology in practice.
Elsewhere, the Leader urged officials not to ignore the important issues especially the economic ones due to the Feb. 26 parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections.
He also attached importance to the people’s presence at the polling stations, noting participation at the elections will foil the enemy’s plots.
Turnout in election will inject “fresh blood” into the country, Ayatollah Khamenei noted.
Ayatollah Khamenei also ridiculed the U.S. proclamations of advocating human rights and democracy, saying Washington has thrown its weight behind the Israeli regime, which murders children, and its allies in the region, which are strangers to the concept of elections.
""The Americans refuse to respond to the simplest questions in the world public opinion about their support for the elements behind the savage crimes in Yemen and flagrantly continue to back those who are carrying out the most merciless form of state terrorism in massacring the innocent people of Yemen,"" the Leader said, according to Press TV.
