Iran, Belarus agree on steps to strengthen ties

TEHRAN - Iran and Belarus on Monday signed a program of cooperation for 2016-2018.

The document was signed during a meeting in Tehran between Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Valentin Rybakov and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia, CIS and Pacific Affairs Ibrahim Rahimpour, Fars reported.
The two sides agreed on steps to boost trade and economic ties. The parties also held talked over regional security issues and Belarusian-Iranian cooperation in international arena.

Valentin Rybakov was expected to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif and Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade Mehdi Karbasian.

He was also scheduled to attend meetings at the Iranian Agriculture Ministry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
