TEHRAN - Seyamak Rahpayek, the spokesman for the Central Council to Monitor Elections, said on Friday that the process of studying the competency of the parliamentary candidates will be finished on Saturday.

Rahpayek said the reasons for disqualifying some candidates will be reported to them.
The parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections will be held simultaneously on February 26, 2016.

In December, President Hassan Rouhani said that elections should be held in a “legal atmosphere” and called on all the political parties to contest the elections.
