Iran’s 8-month industrial exports up 5%

TEHRAN– Valiollah Afkhami-Rad, the director of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), said Iran’s industrial exports grew by 5 percent in the first eight months of the current Iranian colander year (March 21- November 21) compared to the same period last year.


Also, in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 21), the country’s non-oil exports surpassed imports by $1.8 billion, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) quoted Afkhami-Rad as saying.

The country exported about $32 billion of non-oil goods in the nine-month period, while imported $30.411 billion of non-oil products.

Iran’s eight-month exports, Afkhami-Rad said, also exceeded imports by $1.5 billion.

Iran has set a target of $77.5 billion in non-oil exports for the current Iranian calendar year, according to Mojtaba Khosrotaj, the Iranian deputy industry, mining, and trade minister.
