Iranian Red Crescent Society, British Red Cross to boost cooperation

TEHRAN — The British Red Cross and the Iranian Red Crescent Society are going to boost cooperation and take joint actions for the regional conflicts, particularly in Iraq and Syria, ISNA reported.

On the sidelines of the 32nd International Conference of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent, which was held in Geneva on December 8 to 10, Iranian Red Crescent Society Director Mohsen Ziaee visited Chief Executive of the British Red Cross Mike Adamson.

Ziaee stated that Iran is ready to boost cooperation with the British Red Cross. He additionally invited Adamson to visit the Iranian Red Crescent Society. Further negotiations to enhance cooperation between the two organizations will duly take place.

Ziaee also had a meeting with the Belgian Red Cross director, Edouard Croufer. He noted that there is a great potential for the two countries to exchange experience and information. “Belgium can share its experience especially on information technology with Iran.”

According to the Iranian Red Crescent Society’s public relations department, he additionally asked his Belgian counterpart to help Iran equip its newly established aerial hospital.
