Zarif has been acting based on the Leader’s guidelines, Velayati says

TEHRAN - Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior foreign policy advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has said Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has been showing commitment to guidelines set by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the nuclear talks
Velayati, who himself was foreign minister for 16 years and negotiated the UN Resolution 598 which ended the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s, also said the Leader’s guidelines will be followed on implementing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, commonly known as the nuclear deal.On the anniversary of the seizure of the U.S. embassy, Velayati said that countering arrogance will not be stopped.
Aban 13, falling on November 4, marks the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979.
------‘Five years of war shows there’s no military solution to Syria crisis’-----
Velayati also said there is no military solution to the Syrian conflict which has dragged on for more than four years.
“Five years of conflict in Syria has shown the fact that the country’s problem has no military solution,” he said during a meeting with Bavaria’s Minister for Economic Affairs Ilse Aigner.
Velayati also slammed plots to divide up the countries in the Middle East region and said any disintegration of conflict-ridden countries will complicate the regional problems.
He also said that Germany can play a big role in helping end the crisis in Syria.
