TEHRAN – The IRGC intelligence organization has said it has arrested members of an “infiltration” network in the media.

The IRIB reported that the arrest came after months of surveillance of the network’s daily activities.
It said intelligence body would provide further information on later date.

Some media outlets had reports speculating the arrest of reformist activist Isa Saharkhiz, dean of Farhikhtegan daily Ehsan Mazandarani, and Iran Daily columnist Afarin Chitsaz by intelligence forces. No direct links has yet been speculated between these arrests and IRGC’s arrest of infiltration network.

The news comes amid arrest of an American-Lebanese national detained in Iran over espionage charges on Tuesday.
