Iran exports dairy products to Persian Gulf countries, 4 neighbors

TEHRAN- Iran exports dairy products to the Persian Gulf states as well as Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Russia, according to an official with Iranian Ministry of Agriculture.
Hassan Rokni, the Iranian deputy agriculture minister for livestock production, said Iran exported 540,000 tons of dairy products in the Iranian calendar year of 1392 (March 2013-March 2014), and 645,000 tons of these products in the past calendar year, the IRNA news agency reported on Friday.Rokni said: “We are trying to increase the country’s export of dairy products in the current Iranian calendar year [which will end on March 19, 2016].”
Expansion of Iran’s dairy product exports will boost production and adjust market of these products inside the country, the official noted.
