TEHRAN - Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, the chairman of the Expediency Council, has said that the situation after implementation of the nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, will be “positive” for both Iran and the West.

Iran and the 5+1 group - the United States, Britain, France, China and Russia plus Germany - finalized the text of the JCPOA in Vienna on July 14.

During a meeting with Speaker of Polish Senate Bogdan Borusewicz in Tehran on Sunday, Rafsanjani also said, “If the impediment made by the Zionists’ negative propaganda and under political pretexts on the path of cooperation between Iran and Europe will be removed, there are many capacities for expanding cooperation.”

He also called for expansion of ties with Poland, saying Iran sees no restriction in increasing cooperation with European countries.

The Polish official said that Iran plays an important role in the Middle East region, noting that Warsaw seeks to expand ties with Tehran.
