TEHRAN – On Sunday, Iran tested its newest ballistic missile Emad.

The new generation of Emad, a long-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile, was tested successfully, Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan said.

The missile, designed by the scientists and experts of the Defense Ministry, can be controlled till hitting the target with high precision, Dehqan said.

“We will not ask anybody’s permission for increasing our defense and missile power and will pursue our defense programs in missile [technology] determinedly and the Emad missile is a good example of it,” he added.

Dehqan also said that the Armed Force’s power will dramatically increase by mass production of the Emad missile.
