Caspian Sea legal status discussed in Moscow

TEHRAN - Representatives of five littoral states of the Caspian Sea negotiated the legal status of the lake with the aim of formulating a convention.
The 2-day negotiations in Moscow, which ended on Thursday, was the 41st session of a working group assigned to formulate the convention of the Caspian Sea legal status.In the meeting, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour as well as deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan Republic discussed issues related to the Caspian Sea.
Methods to determine sea median line, arrangement for navigation system and scientific researches in the Caspian Sea were among the key issues discussed.
