Tehran to host Caspian Sea investment opportunities confab

TEHRAN – A conference will be held in Tehran on September 12 with the theme of investment opportunities in Iran and other Caspian Sea littoral states.

Asadollah Asgaroladi, the chairman of the Iran-Russia joint chamber of commerce, said problems in banking, transport, and visa issuance are the main obstacles hindering trade ties between Iran and Caspian Sea states, the IRNA news agency reported on Wednesday.

Iran will use three ports and six new vessels for trade with Russia, as it seeks to increase oil exports through a trade memorandum signed in April.
