Iran, USA Wrestling Council Sign MoU

Iran Wrestling Federation (IWF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with United World Wrestling Americas on Monday.
Rasoul Khadem, Head of IWF, and the USA Wrestling Council President Francisco Eduardo Lee Lopez signed the cooperation agreement.The Mou aims to expand two-way cooperation in terms of coaching courses and camps.
The MoU was inked during a ceremony attended by Nenad Lalovic, President of United World Wrestling, in Las Vegas.
Furthermore, Kioomars Hashemi, President of the Iran's National Olympic Committee, met Lalovic.
“We support wrestling since the sport is the most popular sport in Iran,” Hashemi said.
Lalovic also thanked Iran for standing hand in hand on the mat to keep wrestling in the Olympics.
“We have so many unfinished projects ahead of us. I hope we can improve our sport with the support of wrestling’s members around the world,” he said.
The World Wrestling Championships in the three Olympic wrestling styles of Greco-Roman, women’s freestyle and men’s freestyle started on September 7 in Las Vegas.
