Iran says terrorism endangers all

TEHRAN – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has said that terrorism and extremism are not restricted to the Middle East region and can be dangerous to all countries.
During a meeting with Baroness D’Souza, the speaker of Britain’s House of Lords, on the sidelines of the Fourth World Conference of Parliament Speakers in New York on Tuesday, Larijani said that Iran prioritizes transfer of technology in economic cooperation with other countries.The British official said that the reopening of Iran and Britain’s embassies in the two countries will help open a new chapter in relations and ease the tensions.
She also called for expansion of parliamentary relations between the two countries.
In a meeting with Laurence Dumont, the deputy speaker of the French National Assembly, Larijani said it is necessary that the two countries fight against terrorism.
Dumont said that the nuclear agreement provides the ground for dialogue in various areas.
The Iranian Majlis speaker also met with Mohammad Jihad al-Laham, the speaker of the People’s Council of Syria, during which he said that Tehran feels duty bound to provide the ground for dialogue among the conflicting sides in Syria.
The Syrian official thanked Iran for the supports it has provided for the Syrian people and government in difficult days.
------Iran says Oman plays positive role in the region
Oman plays an important role in the regional, especially in the Yemeni talks, Larijani said in his meeting with Omani Parliament Speaker Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal bin Nasser Al Mawali.
Larijani also said that the Syrian conflict can be settled through a political solution. He also said “national unity” is key to resolving the Yemeni crisis.
The Omani official also said that dialogue is the only way to maintain nations’ interests.
Larijani also met with Indonesian Parliament Speaker Setya Novanto on the sidelines of the conference.
