MPs convinced by energy minister’s responses

TEHRAN - Iranian Minister of Energy Hamid Chitchian managed to convince the members of the Parliament during a questioning session on Tuesday.
Chitchian was called in by the parliament to elaborate on the water share of farmers in the central province of Esfahan.At the end of the session, 147 MPs voted for the minister while 52 lawmakers voted against him and 16 others abstained.
According to Iranian law, failing three times to provide convincing answers to lawmakers paves the way for an impeachment.
