Iranian, Spanish firms ink MOU on electricity

TEHRAN – Iran Power and Water Equipment and Service Export Company, also known as Sunir, and Spanish company Bester have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly participate in the implementation of electricity projects.


Under the new contract, the two companies agreed to cooperate on joint electricity projects in Iran and other countries across the world, the Mehr news agency reported on Tuesday.

Especially, the Iranian and Spanish companies consented on designing, manufacturing, and financing renewable energy projects, such as building wind power, solar, bio mass, and ground thermal power plants.

Also, the contract aims to transfer the technology of producing renewable energy equipment to Iran. 

Moreover, according to the agreement, the Spanish company will help its Iranian counterpart implement electricity projects in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf states. In return, the Iranian side will launch cooperation with Bester on electricity projects in South America.
