Iran comes 7th at International Mathematical Olympiad

TEHRAN - Iran won the 7th place in the International Mathematical Olympiad 2015.
The Iranian team had garnered 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal by the end of the Olympiad, ISNA reported on Wednesday.The U.S., China, South Korea, North Korea, Vietnam, and Australia ranked 1 to 6.
The competition was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from 4 to 16 July 2015.
The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the world championship mathematics competition for high school students and is held annually in a different country. The first IMO was held in 1959 in Romania, with 7 countries participating. This year 104 countries participated.
