Iran’s West Azarbaijan to export lobster to 4 countries

URMIA- Iran plans to export 52 tons of lobster, produced in its northwestern province of West Azarbaijan, to France, Germany, Italy and Armenia, according to Mohammad Shirvalilou, the head of Fisheries and Maritime Department of the province.
The official said that lobster exports will bring over 30 billion rials (about $9.179 million) of income to the country per annum, the IRNA news agency reported on Monday.
Iran will also start exports of fishery products to Russia in the Iranian calendar month of Mordad (July 23- August 22), according to Head of Iran's Fisheries Organization Hassan Salehi.
Salehi said the country’s worth of fishery exports rose to $310 million in the past Iranian calendar year (which ended on March 20) from $304 million in its preceding year.
