Zarif is also ‘concerned’ about outcome of nuclear talks: Bahonar

TEHRAN -- Senior MP Mohammad Reza Bahonar says Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is also concerned about the result of nuclear talks with the West,

Zarif is “also a concerned one”, Bahonar said in an interview on the state TV Thursday evening.

“The term ‘concerned’ should not be made so bold as to equate ‘traitor’. The enemy is deceitful and we all must be concerned. By implications, Zarif himself is concerned. But ‘concerned’ implying that there are some who want to sell the country is injustice,” the veteran MP said.

The term “concerned” (Delvapasan in Farsi) has found special meaning in Iran's political language since about a year ago when a number of MPs protested the Rouhani administration’s negotiations with world powers, stating they were “concerned” about the situation.

Some pro-government figures, however, rejected the MPs’ concern as false.
