Diplomat says Iran will support Yemeni talks

TEHRAN – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has said that Tehran will support Yemeni-Yemeni dialogues with engagement of all the Yemeni groups or parties.

He made the remarks in a phone conversation with Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the UN special envoy for Yemen, on Monday.

The Islamic Republic of Iran will support the UN efforts in this regard, the top diplomat added.

He also highlighted the importance of facilitating efforts to send food and medical aid to Yemenis who came under the Saudi air raids anew.

Ould Cheikh Ahmed stated that the UN has taken actions to send humanitarian aid to Yemen.
