TEHRAN – An exhibition of posters by Swiss graphic designers reflecting a new glance at typography opened at the Iranian Artist Forum in Tehran on Friday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on Friday, Ambassador of Switzerland to Iran Giulio Haas said that the exhibit displays contemporary visual variety in Swiss designs and bears a trace of traditional Swiss designs.

These posters have clear, well-ordered designs, he said, adding that they are extremely powerful in form and concept.

Works by a number of graphic designers including Flavia Cocchi, Nadine Kamber, Claude Kuhn, Felix Pfaffli and Melchior Imboden will be on display until April 24.

In addition, according to the ambassador, Swiss graphic designer Stephan Bundi is scheduled to hold an exhibit in the Forum along with a series of workshops.

As a designer and art director for film producers, concert promoters, museums, theatres and publishers, Bundi combines unconventional ideas with practical Swiss tradition. He also teaches and is a lecturer and expert in visual interpretation at art and design universities in Switzerland and abroad.

The Forum is located on Musavi St., off Taleqani Ave.
