TEHRAN – Mohammad-Nabi Habibi, the secretary general of the Islamic Coalition Party, has said that political parties should act as a buffer for the establishment.

He also said that competition between parties should be promoted because this will immunize the establishment against hostile actions and will not allow adverse events to undermine the Islamic system and the principle of velayat-e faqih (rule of the supreme jurisprudent)
