Persepolis held to goalless draw in ACL

TASHKENT - Iran’s Persepolis played out a goalless draw with Bunyodkor in 2011 AFC Champions League on Tuesday.

Persepolis, who was beaten by Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia in its opening and failed to beat Al Wahda of the UAE in a home game, and tied with the Uzbek representative at the Jar Stadium in Group C.
Bunyodkor’s goal in the 66th minute was ruled out for offside.
Elsewhere, Esteghlal will play Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor in Group B at the Azadi Stadium and Zob Ahan face Al Rayyan in Group D in Doha on Wednesday.
""My players know the importance of this match,” Zob Ahan coach Mansour Ebrahimzadeh said in a pre-match news conference.
“We have done our homework. We've watched their games on DVDs. We want to go and win this tournament and to do that, we have to top our group and qualify for the knockout stages,” he added
