TEHRAN – The Iranian Judiciary announced it executed on Monday eleven culprits who had committed many terrorist acts in the border province of Sistan-Balouchestan. They were linked to the shadowy Jundullah group.

Speaking during a press conference, Gholam-Hussein Mohseni Ejei, the spokesperson of the Judiciary, said these criminals were arrested while carrying 300 kilograms of explosives, handguns and other weapons.
Sistan-Balouchestan has experienced numerous terrorist attacks over the past years. Terrorists use Pakistan as their safe haven.
For instance, a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device outside a mosque in the southeastern city of Chabahar last Wednesday during a Shia religious ceremony, killing 35 people and injuring more than 100 others. Women and children were among the victims.
In addition, on July 15, a twin suicide bomb attack in the provincial capital Zahedan left 27 people dead and at least 300 injured.
Mohseni Ejei also said a culprit who committed kidnapping, drug smuggling and assault on people in Kerman Province has been arrested.
On the subsidy reform plan, he said police and the Judiciary will seriously deal with anyone who seeks to impede the implementation of the subsidy reform plan.
The administration and the Judiciary have established joint committees in Tehran and other provinces in this regard, the former intelligence minister added.
According the national subsidy reform plan, whose implementation began on Sunday, the country will gradually eliminate the subsidies on energy carriers, gas, oil, and certain goods
