Violation of the Constituition Leads to Disorder and Dicatatorship

TEHRAN The lack of adherence to the Constitution would lead to disorder or dictatorship, President Mohammad Khatami emphasized in the Constitution and Implementation Conference held here at Shahid Beheshti University on Monday. The president who was talking at the first anniversary of the formation of the Follow-Up Board and Supervising the Implementation of the Constitution said, The human life has been formed on the basis of order and without which there would be chaos in the society and constitution serves as the backbone of order in which people's basic rights and governments' powers are clearly defined.
A new chapter was opened in the Iranian history with the culmination of the Islamic Revolution a therefore a new Islamic view was proposed and order was materialized, the president said adding that in this way a political and social administration as the Islamic Republic of Iran came into existence which its rules is based on religion and people's legal rights and its boundaries are specified in the Constitution. President in his speech said violation of the Constituition which is the base of order would lead to the protection of individual or factional whims which in either case is considered as dictatorship, so nobody can stand above law and order to avoid this such a dangerous situation there is no alternative just abiding by the rules which are accepted by the society regardless of agreements or disagreements.
Implementation and observation of of the Constitution would help prevent disorder and dictatorship which in turn gurarantees individual and social security which is a prerequisit to devolopment in the society, the president said. During his statement the president referred to the great efforts made by late Imam Khomeini for the implementation and materialization of the Constituition saying the order lies in the constitutition and with respect to our allegiance to Islam and civilized society we should move in the direction of the Constituition. If we did not have constituition by no means we Could defend the principles of the Islamic Revolution, the Jurisprudence, the Guardian Council and the Article Four of the Constituition which explains all the rules and regulations should be seen in the light of religion the president said.
According to the Constituition Khatami said as the president is responsible for safeguarding the Islamic Republic and the official religion which makes his duty from othe officials in the same way the president is responsible for the implementation and supervision of the Constituition.
