Iranian artist to hold workshops in Iran, Turkey and Cyprus

TEHRAN -- Iranian graphic designer Mehdi Saeidi will be holding workshops on typography and calligraphy in Iran, Turkey and Cyprus.

He will have a two-day workshop on “Persian Alphabet Music” from April 25 to 27 on the occasion of World Graphic Design Day (April 25) at Iran’s University of Arts.
Turkey’s Anadolu University will host his one-day workshop on May 1 as a part of a program the university holds to commemorate the Turkish poet and mystic Yunus Emre.
He will also lecture on Persian calligraphy and typography at the 4th International Conference on Typography and Visual Communication which will be held from June 17 to 19 at the Department of Design and Multimedia of the University of Nicosia.
Born 1979 in Tehran, he graduated in graphic arts at the Malek-e Ashtar Academy of Arts and attended courses on artistic design in England.
He won the Special Prize at the 7th International Poster Biennial in Mexico, the Third Prize at the Triennial of Posters of Kharkov, Ukraine and the first award at the International Islamic World Poster Biennial.
