Iran, Pakistan to Cooperate in Controlling Contagious Diseases

TEHRAN Deputy Health Minister Dr. Sayyari and Pakistani acting Health Minister Hassan Pasha in a meeting here on Sunday stressed the need for cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad in controlling contagious diseases. Sayyari said that Iran is ready to transfer its expertise in the area of health to Pakistan. The two sides also explored avenues for mutual cooperation, exchange of experts and upgrading of medical training quality.

The Pakistani delegation is to inspect some health and research centers including pasteur institute in Karaj (west of tehran), the serum producing plant in Hesarak and a number of health care centers in Isfahan and Tehran, during its stay in Iran. (IRNA)
