Gorgan to host Iranian tribal culture festival

TEHRAN -- The third edition of the Culture Festival of Iranian Tribes will be held in the northern Iranian city of Gorgan, Golestan province.

Nine regional musical group from different Iranian provinces including Ardebil, Mazandaran, Gilan, Kordestan, Semnan and Kermanshah will be giving performances during the event.
Seven bands from Golestan province will perform different styles of regional music from the province during the gala, the secretary of the festival Hamid Manuchehri mentioned during a press conference on Saturday.
Golestan’s other cities Gonbad and Kordkuy will also host programs at the festival, an official of the Golestan Ministry of Culture and Islamic guidance Department Anushiravan Gerayli mentioned during the conference.
An exhibition of handicrafts will be held on the sidelines of the festival that will feature participation by artists from seven provinces including Gilan, Mazandaran, Tehran, Qazvin and Semnan.
The festival will be held at the Gorgan’s Fakhreddin As’ad-e Gorgani Hall from November 12 to 15.
