Call for massive turnout on Aban 13 rallies

TEHRAN -- Parties, associations, and organizations all over the country issued statements calling for massive turnout on the Aban 13 demonstrations and highlighted the importance of this historic day.
Aban 13, which corresponds to November 4th, marks the anniversary of the capturing of the U.S. embassy by Iranian students three decades ago.Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Navy branch issued a statement calling for presence of “Iran’s great nation, especially students, to commemorate the day and foil the plot of the enemies of the Islamic Revolution.”
Moderation and Development Party also highlighted the importance of upholding Aban 13, calling this day a turning point in the history of Islamic Revolution.
In a statement the party called the “capturing of the ‘den of espionage’, a reflection of the pent-up grudge of Iranian nation against the past U.S. policies in Iran.
Imam Khomeini called this event the second revolution, more important than the first.”
MDP asked the public to pay tribute and called for observing law and order on this day.
The Islamic Association of Teachers in its statement said, “This year like previous years, teachers along with students will take part in the event to pay tribute to the martyrs of this day and will chant anti-U.S. and anti-Israeli slogans to strengthen their bonds with the martyrs for this cause.”
On its part the Ministry of Defense asked people to attend with solidarity and unity in the event and show their determination for continuation of martyrs’ and Imam Khomeini’s paths.
Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom asked for the “vigilance of nation against the enemies’ attempts to undermine this epical day.” The statement called Aban 13, “the day of loyalty of nation to Imam Khomeini and martyrs.”
The Judiciary also made a statement calling for “national unity, solidarity, obedience of the Supreme Leader, and resistance against hegemonic powers’ plots. This day marks the beginning of the downfall of the US.
