TEHRAN – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has praised the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for his recent orders and remarks about the post-election incidents, saying they created a “new atmosphere of hope” in the country.

“In fact, the Supreme Leader’s statements and orders created a new atmosphere of hope in the country and we are grateful to him and we ask the Judiciary… to deal with all violations in the recent incidents,” Larijani told the parliament in which some lawmakers started talked in favor or against the proposed ministerial nominees.
The Supreme Leader’s “deep look” into the major and minor incidents that followed the elections and his order for investigating some incidents which the Leader called “crimes” in fact demonstrated the “face of Islamic justice” and also showed that any kind of injustice, either at national level or by individuals, will not remain hidden from the Leader’s watchful eyes, the Majlis speaker explained.
What was evident in the Leader’s speech was that “expediency is not against truthfulness”, the speaker noted.
Ayatollah Khamenei said on Wednesday that after the June 12 election, certain offences occurred which will be dealt with decisively, but the country’s judicial system should make rulings based on hard evidence.
The Supreme Leader also acknowledged that certain officers had broken the law at Kahrizak detention center and at Tehran University dormitory and said he had ordered that persons who violated the law should be dealt with
