TEHRAN -- Documentary filmmaker Purya Azarbaijani plans to shoot his documentary named “Jumongnameh” next week in Tehran.

The documentary will study the adverse impacts of the South Korean TV series “Jumong,” currently on the air on national TV channel 3. “It will be discussing the events happening that are related to the series on the side.”
Invited by LG Electronics Group, actor Song Il-Guk was enthusiastically greeted by hundreds of reporters and fans several days ago in Tehran and took part in a conference held at the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) International Conference Hall.
“We will not be focusing on the arrival of the Jumong star in Tehran, rather, we mean to concentrate on the issue of heroism,” Azarbaijani said.
Shooting will begin in Tehran and will later move on to Yasuj (Kohkiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad Province), Abadeh (Fars Province) and Isfahan.
Produced by Mohammadreza Heidari, also cooperating in this project are cinematographer Shahram Najjarian, assistant director Nima Lotfi and sound-recorder Saman Shahamat.
Produced in 2006, the series is directed by Kim Geun-hong and Lee Ju-hwan. Song Il-Guk plays the role of Jumong, Kim Seung-su plays Prince Tae-so, and Han Hye-jin plays lady So-suh-no.
The Jumong series portrays the life of Jumong Taewang (founder of the kingdom of Goguryeo).
