Iran Med 2009 to kick off today

TEHRAN – The 12th international exhibition on medical and dentistry equipment (Iran Med 2009) will kick off today at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds and will run to June 14.

According to IRINN, 523 companies will be attending the fair, 59 of which are from Germany, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Slovakia, Jordan, Malaysia, and the U.S.
Iran exported medical and laboratorial equipment to the tune of $8 million and $60 million, respectively, in the last Iranian calendar year (ended March 20, 2009), reported IRNA.
Iran Med is Iran’s most prestigious medical exhibition, which has become a key event for the medical and health care community.
About 35,000 professionals including administrators, directors, doctors, deans and procurement managers of public and private hospitals will visit companies’ pavilion in the show in around 15,800 square meters of exhibition space.
Iran Med will serve as a platform for medical suppliers, industry owners, hospital administrators, physicians, and other entities active in the healthcare sector to exchange views for the promotion of the related industries
