Tehran hosts 14 countries at kitchen, bath appliances expo

TEHRAN – The 7th Iranian international exhibition on kitchen, bath, sauna, and pool industries and equipment (KB-SP 2009) opened at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds on Thursday.

According to IRNA, 80 foreign companies from Germany, Spain, Turkey, France, South Korea, Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, plus 195 domestic firms have put their products on display at the expo.
The profile for the exhibit includes kitchen and bath furniture, cabinets, fire alarm systems, pipes and drains, refrigerators and freezers, glasses and mirrors, carpets and bath mats, heating and steam systems, spas and Jacuzzis, swimming and whirl pools, prefabricated pools, solariums, aquatic parks, water filtration equipments, and shelters.
Iran imported more than $400 million worth of kitchen and bath appliances in its last calendar year (ended March 20), while it exported nearly $130 million in the same period. The value of exports was some 15 percent above the figure for the preceding year.
Iraq, Afghanistan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Caucasus Region, African and Latin American countries are the main target markets for Iranian-made kitchen, bath, and pool appliances and equipments.
