Iran, Pakistan reinforce trade ties

TEHRAN – Iran’s Commerce Minister Masoud Mirkazemi and his Pakistani counterpart Makhdoum Amin Fahim signed three memorandums of understanding at the end of their fifth joint trade committee meeting on Tuesday in Tehran.
The first MOU was about reviewing preferential trade and border trade regulations and banking relations, accepting each others national currencies for transactions, and holding exhibitions, IRIB reported.The second MOU was inked to boost cooperation between the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.
The third MOU was related to the cooperation of Iran’s International Exhibitions Company with Pakistani Trade Development Authority to exchange trade delegations, and conduct marketing activities.
Amin Fahim also held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on Tuesday.
The Pakistani minister said Tehran and Islamabad enjoy historic relations, and called for an expansion of trade and economic ties with Iran
