TEHRAN – Iran exported $15.3 billion worth of mineral and industrial products in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 20), the public relations department of the Ministry of Industries and Mines reported on Monday.

The exports grew by 5 percent in weight and 25 percent in value compared to the year that ended in March 2008, the report said.
Industrial and mineral exports accounted for 84.3 percent of the country’s total non-oil exports, IRNA reported.
Chemical products valued at some $4.4 billion comprised 28.6 percent of the industrial and mineral exports, showing a 56.7 percent growth over the figure for the previous year.
Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, China, India, and South Korea were the main export destinations for the Iranian-made products.
The country also exported over $2.5 billion worth of technical-engineering services in the mentioned period.
