Arifi joins Persepolis @=Tehran Times Sports Desk

TEHRAN - Payam Mashhad striker Shpejtim Arifi has signed a two-year contract with Persepolis football team.

Payam has been relegated into first division and the ethnic-Albanian footballer has joined Tehran popular Persepolis.
Arifi scored 18 goals in the Iran Professional League and came second in the IPL scorer’s table after Esteghlal’s Arash Borhani who netted 21 goals.
It is said the 29-year-old former Mannheim striker has joined Persepolis for the sum of $850,000 which is the highest transfer fee in Iran’s football history.
