TEHRAN – MP Darioush Ghanbari announced on Thursday that members of the Majlis minority faction will meet former prime minister Mir-Hossein Mousavi on Tuesday.

“Members of the Majlis minority faction will meet former Iranian prime minister Mir-Hossein Mousavi and hold talks with him on Tuesday,” he told Mehr News Agency.
The meeting will start at 12 o’clock, he added.
The members of the Majlis minority faction have already met with former president Mohammad Khatami and Expediency Council chairman Hashemi Rafsanjani.
Ghanbari said the upcoming presidential election as well as political and economic subjects will feature most in discussions with the former prime minister.
The meeting with Mousavi is important at this juncture as the rival factions are drawing horns for the June presidential polls.
Recently, Khatami said either he himself or Mousavi will represent reformists in the presidential election.
There have also been reports that reformists may choose between Khatami, Mousavi or former Majlis speaker Mahadi Karrubi.
Ghanbari added that “certainly” Mousavi’s candidacy will be one of the topics of discussions on Tuesday.
