TEHRAN – The Hamas representative to Tehran, Abu Osama Abd al-Muati, insisted on Wednesday that the siege of the Gaza Strip is “a shame” for humanity.

“This siege is going on before the eyes of all the world people, Arabs, Muslims and the international institutions. It is a black mark on the forehead of humanity because for the first time, instead of supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation, the international community is punishing it. Unfortunately, this condition is going on along with suspicious and shameful silence on the part of Arabs and the Islamic world.”
The Zionist regime has blocked all the roads to the Gaza Strip and put the Gaza residents on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe.
Al-Muati censured the global bodies over their stance on the siege of the Gaza Strip. “Currently, a humanitarian crisis is happening in Gaza and the complete siege of this region has imprisoned 1.5 million Palestinians.”
He made a reference to accusations that Hamas is responsible for the current appalling conditions in Gaza, noting ,
“The agonies of the Palestinians have been lasting for 60 years and aggressions, crimes and slaughters of the Zionist regime have not come to an end since 1948. However, such a siege is unprecedented in the history of Palestine.”
He lamented that the world is “just sitting and watching” the situation
