TEHRAN (MNA) -- The next year’s presidential election and the Majlis by-elections will be held on June 12, 2009, an official from the Interior Ministry said here on Sunday.

Ali Asghar Sharifirad said, “June 12 has been approved as the voting day for the 10th presidential elections.”
Sharifirad said the date was suggested by the Interior Ministry and the Guardian Council approved it.
According to Sharifirad, the Majlis by-election will be held in the same date to fill 6 seats in the 290-seat parliament.
The first round of the eighth parliamentary election was held on March 14. And the second round was on April 25.
