TEHRAN (Press TV) -- An IRGC commander says the Western hegemony has only reinforced the Iranian nation's determination against their imperialistic ways.

IRGC Air Force Commander, Brigadier General Hossein Salami said the U.S. has gained nothing but defeat from its regional policies.
The Iranian general said resorting to military action in order to make political changes, particularly in Iraq, has only had an adverse effect and further tarnished the U.S. image in the world.
“U.S. policies have only heightened regional insecurity and fanned the flames of mistrust concerning political developments,” Gen. Salami said.
He referred to the failed U.S. policies in Afghanistan and cautioned that such strategies would only inflict further defeat on domineering powers.
