Iran representative to OPEC to be replaced

TEHRAN - Iran’s representative to OPEC, Hussein Kazempur-Ardabili, is to be replaced by senior National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) official Mohamed Ali Khatibi, an official at the Oil Ministry said here on Wednesday.

Having been Iran’s permanent representative to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries for 25 years, Kazempur will plans to retire soon, the Gulf Times quoted the official as saying.
Khatibi served in the OPEC Department of NIOC for a number of years. Before being appointed NIOC deputy director for international affairs two years ago, he was a senior analyst at the International Institute for Energy Studies (IIES), a subsidiary of NIOC
