Iranians and Pakistanis share the same belief: cleric

BANDAR ABBAS (IRNA) -- Supreme Leader’s representative in Hormozgan Province said here on Monday Iranian and Pakistani nations are members of the same nation, due to their shared belief in Islam.

Gholam-Ali Na’eimabadi had a meeting with the commander of a visiting Pakistani naval fleet, Admiral Soheil Masoud, and his accompanying delegation
He said, “Both nations are limbs of the nation of Islam, and we are both concerned about observing Islam thoroughly in our countries.”
The representative of Hormozgan Province people in Leadership Experts Assembly added, “we are the sons of Islam and Qur’an, living in Iran, Pakistan, and elsewhere in Islamic World.”
Na’eimabadi praised the Pakistani government’s campaign against Al-Qaeda, adding, “Al-Qaeda’s mentality is fixed at terrorism and fomenting disputes among Muslims.”
The commander of Pakistani naval fleet, too, during the meeting expressed delight over his presence in Iran’s Bandar Abbas port city and his meeting with provincial officials.
Masoud added, “The Iranian and Pakistani nations are both deep rooted nations, they are Muslim and brothers.”
“Such visits lead to further strengthening friendship and brotherhood ties.”
He reiterated, “The people of Pakistan consider the Islamic Republic of Iran as their second home.”
