23 Iranian films to compete in Fajr fest’s national section

@T= TEHRAN -- The secretariat of the 26th Fajr International Film Festival announced on Wednesday that 23 Iranian movies will be competing in the National Competition Section of the gala.
“Green Fire” directed by Mohammadreza Aslani, “That Man Came” by Hamid Bahmani, “The Song of Sparrows” by Majid Majidi, “Reflection” by Reza Karimi, “Another Birth” by Abbas Rafei, “Music Box” by Farzad Motamen, and “Hidden Feelings” by Mostafa Razzaq-Karimi are among the entries to the national section.
Bahman Farmanara’s “Familiar Soil”, Siamak Shayeqi’s “Winter Dream”, Rasul Sadr-Ameli’s “Night”, Ebrahim Foruzesh’s “Hamun and the Sea”, and Mohammadreza Rahmani’s “Admiration” will also be competing in the national section.
The secretariat also announced that “The End of the Earth” by Abolfazl Saffari, “The Little Green” by Gholamreza Ramezani, “The Lost Truth” by Mohammad Ahmadi, and two other films would be the five back-up movies which will replace cancellations in the national competition section.
Mohammad Bozorgnia, Puran Derakhshandeh, Majid Rezabalazadeh, Jamal Shorjeh, Dariush Farhang, and Mojtaba Moshiri were the members of the national competition section’s selection board.
The 26th Fajr International Film Festival will be held from February 1 to 11 at a number of cinemas in Tehran.
------Film posters line up for Fajr festival
Seven graphic artists have been selected to compete in the film poster category of the 26th Fajr International Film Festival.
Eighteen posters have been submitted by Amir Sheibani Khaqani, Behzad Khorshidi, Mohammadreza Sharifinia, Heidar Rezaii, Sirus Salimi-Khaliq, Ehsan Barabadi, and Ali Vazirian.
------Fajr fest picks 12 flicks for Asian Films Section
Twelve films will be competing in the Asian Films Section of the 26th Fajr International Film Festival.
The festival organizers have selected films from South Korea, Hong Kong, Syria, Vietnam, China, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Japan, and Iran..
