TEHRAN -- The fourth edition of the Ashura Rites Meeting will be held in Tabriz from January 25 until 30.

The holding of this meeting is to be seen as a great success in the realm of Iran’s theatrical arts, Hossein Parsaii the Director of the Center for Dramatic Arts, remarked during a press conference on Saturday.
He went on to say that the events of Ashura will be reviewed from various points of view during the meeting.
30 provinces will participate in the event which is to commemorate the tenth of the month of Muharram, which marks the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and 72 of his loyal companions.
A religious convention focusing on the Islamic Revolution, Sacred Defense and Imam Reza (AS) is planned to be held in the near future,” he added.
