Mellat Park, Beating Green Heart of Capital

TEHRAN Mellat Park is located in the third municipality district of Tehran, just on Vali-e Asr Ave. between Jam-e Jam and Shahrdari streets. It ends to Enghelab Sports Complex from west and Vali-e Asr Ave. forms the eastern extreme of the park. The park was inaugurated in 1975 on a land area of almost 34 hectares. Colorful trees and plants forming the greenery of the park include the families of Oriental plane tree, London plane tree, several species of cedars and coniferous trees, willows, spruce fir, ash, elm, false acacia, etc.
