Iran eager to found banks with Turkey

TEHRAN – Iran’s officials offered Turkey to establish joint banks, reported the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Monday.
In the third meeting of Iran-Turkey Joint Trade Committee in Ankara, the Iranian delegation gave the go-ahead to the Turkish side to launch banks in the country, expressing eagerness to found joint banks.The two sides discussed banking relations including cooperation between central banks, role of credit lines in promoting cooperation, and cooperation between Export Guarantee Fund of Iran (EGFI) and Export Development Bank of Iran (EDBI) and Eximbank of Turkey.
Iran also proposed the use of national currencies in bilateral trade.
Both parties agreed to boost and diversify bilateral trade
